The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury, along with heritage planning consultants Archaeological Research Associates (ARA) and with the support of the Town's Heritage Committee, completed a Heritage Conservation District Study in 2019.

The next phase, the Heritage Conservation District (HCD) Plan, is now underway. The purpose of the HCD Plan is to develop guidelines and policies to help direct and manage future changes. One of the key features of the HCD Plan is to outline how new construction, alterations, infill and additions in the heritage area of Bond Head should be managed to ensure the unique character of the area is conserved.

Public input is a critical part of the development of the HCD Plan, and there will be multiple opportunities to ensure the community's vision is captured. There will be three public consultations and three surveys taking place over the next several months as the development of the Plan progresses.
