ORIGINAL STORY
NEW TECUMSETH — Provincial police have closed several roads in the Tottenham area this morning after a train came off the tracks.
No injuries have been reported, police say.
Shortly after 10 a.m. on March 19, Nottawasaga OPP said it had closed parts of the 2nd Line, 3rd Line, 4th Line, 5th Line and 6th Line between Tottenham Road and Sideroad 10.
Tottenham is located about 40 minutes south of Barrie.
CP Rail officials are also on scene to assess the situation, police say.
There is no estimated time for the roads to reopen.
The OPP is asking drivers to avoid the area and to plan an alternate route.
Police say updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
