Notice of the Adoption of an Official Plan Amendment

Take notice that the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury passed By-law 2024-66 to adopt Amendment No. 4 to the Official Plan for the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury, under sections 17 and 22 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended, in respect of lands municipally known as 5648, 5618 and 5584 Highway 9.  A key map showing the location of the lands is attached to this notice.

The purpose of Official Plan Amendment No. 4 is to re-designate the subject property from "Rural" to "Special Policy Area 6.21" to allow for employment and employment supportive uses and enable lot creation policies by way of a vacant land condominium.

Official Plan Amendment No. 4 will be submitted to the County of Simcoe for approval.  Any person or public body will be entitled to receive notice of the County's decision if a written request to be notified (including name and mailing address) of the decision is made to the Director of Planning, Development & Tourism Department, County of Simcoe, Administration Centre, 1110 Highway 26, Midhurst, Ontario, L9X 1N6, telephone 705-726-9300, fax 705-727-4276, or email at [email protected].

In conformity with section 17(23.1) of the Planning Act, public comments/submissions and response to same are set out in Report No. PLN-2024-38 which is available for viewing on the municipal website at https://bitly.cx/ckWrK (Item No. 11.7) or by contacting the Office of Community Planning at [email protected].

No person or public body shall be added as a party to the hearing of the appeal unless, before the by-law was passed, the person or public body made oral submissions at a public meeting or

written submissions to the council or, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
