The 13th Annual Run for Bradford, organized by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association, is more than just a charity run; it's a celebration of community, generosity, and shared purpose. Set to take place on September 22, this year's run promises to be a memorable event, supporting the Southlake Hospital and bringing together people from all walks of life to contribute to a noble cause.

Salman Ahmad, a key organizer, says, "The Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association organizes charity runs all across Canada. They are organizing 23 runs this year. The main purpose is to support local communities and local charities. Run for Bradford is the local chapter.”

This year, the run will feature various activities, ensuring there's something for everyone. Whether you're a seasoned runner or prefer a leisurely walk, you can choose from the 1K Fun Walk, 2K Run, 4K Run, or the more challenging 10K Run. But it's not just about the physical activity. Ahmad notes, “It is not just a run but a fun family event. There are booths, food, vendors, and games. You don’t have to run or walk to enjoy the event. We have made it unique! Running or not, however, please register.”

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association's commitment to charity extends beyond just the run. Their involvement in blood drives, food drives, and even helping neighbors with snow cleanup highlights their dedication to serving the community.

As Ahmad puts it, “As Muslims, it is part of our faith to help our communities. We want to give back and be part of the community and help others. There is so much work to do. If we leave it to others, we are not doing our part.”

Last year's run saw over 200 participants, and the organizers are expecting an even bigger turnout this year.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available for those looking to support the event further. The organizers welcome any inquiries at [email protected], offering a fantastic opportunity for local businesses and individuals to contribute to a wonderful cause.

So, mark your calendars and join the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association in making this year's event the best one yet! Whether you run, walk, or simply enjoy the day, your participation will help make a difference. Let's lace up our shoes, stretch our legs, and get ready to support our community like never before.
