Police are looking for a suspect following a shoplifting incident Saturday at Zehrs in Alliston.
At 5:49 p.m., Nottawasaga OPP officers were called to the grocery store at 30 King St. S. Minutes earlier, a man entered the store, went to the produce section and selected oranges. He then went to other departments and picked up a variety of items, including meat and jerky packs. He was seen removing a reusable grocery bag from his backpack and putting the items in it before leaving through an employee entrance on the south side of the store.
Officers tried to locate the man but were unsuccessful.
The suspect is described as being about 35 years old, with a short brown beard. He was wearing a black winter jacket with a fur-trimmed hood.
