'No foul play' suspected in death investigation at Barrie Travelodge

A body found Tuesday morning at Barrie’s Travelodge is a death investigation, said city police.

“We’re just assisting the coroner with the death investigation,” said Peter Leon, corporate communications co-ordinator with Barrie Police Service, of the police presence at 300 Bayfield St. “There’s nothing suspicious at this time. Nothing to suggest foul play.”

Leon said no arrests have been made in relation to this incident or charges laid, and there is no issue with respect to public safety.

Police are not releasing any information on the person’s identity.
