Police have made an arrest after a driver displaying "obvious signs of impairment" put her car in the ditch in Essa Township.
The Nottawasaga OPP say on March 19, shortly after 4 p.m., officers responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash near Underhill Court and 5th Line.
Police say a 61-year-old female driver from Essa Township was arrested a short time later.
She was charged with operation while impaired — alcohol and drugs, and operation while impaired — blood alcohol concentration (80-plus).
The driver was also issued a 90-day license suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days, police say.
No injuries were reported, according to an OPP news release.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Bradford on May 1.
The OPP said that should you observe a suspected impaired driver, dial 911 or contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122.
None of the allegations have been tested in court and the driver is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
