Motorcyclist, 20, killed in collision in King Township

York Regional Police are investigating a fatal collision.

The 20-year-old male rider of a motorcycle was pronounced dead on scene of a collision with a sport utility vehicle in the area of Jane Street and 17th Sideroad April 1 at approximately 1:15 p.m., York Regional Police said in a news release.

Police were called to the crash, which occurred at 17th Sideroad and King Hills Lane Monday afternoon. 

The driver of the SUV was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area at the time, as Jane and Keele streets were closed for the investigation.
