Licence suspended after Keswick driver ends up in ditch

INNISFIL - On Friday, Oct. 9, 2020 around 8 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers were dispatched to the Highway 400 and 2nd Line area of Innisfil for a single vehicle collision involving a suspected impaired driver. When police arrived, they located the vehicle in a ditch. The driver was uninjured.

After a fail was registered on a roadside approved screening device, the driver was arrested and transported to South Division for further testing.

As a result of an investigation, 42-year-old Jason Beattie of Keswick was charged with careless driving and issued a three-day driving suspension.

He was released with a future court date.
