Holland Landing resident accused of stunt driving while impaired

A Holland Landing resident is being accused of stunt driving while impaired.

On Saturday night, OPP had set up radar enforcement on Highway 89 east of County Road 56 in New Tecumseth.

At around 9 p.m. an officer spotted a speeding truck.

OPP say the radar registered it travelling 130 km/h in a 80 km/h zone.

Once the truck was pulled over, police say the driver failed a test on an alcohol screening device.

A Holland Landing resident, 25, was charge with:  

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Drive motor vehicle - perform stunt - Excessive speed

None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
