A Dundalk resident is facing impaired charges following a spot check last night on Brentwood Road in Essa Township.
Shortly after 11:30 p.m. on March 4, Nottawasaga OPP officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. program when a vehicle entered the area and an officer spoke with the driver.
After a brief conversation with the driver, police say the officer demanded a breath sample for a screening device and the driver complied, resulting in a "fail."
Ante Hrkac, 40, of Dundalk, has been charged with driving a motor vehicle with liquor readily available, operation while impaired (blood-alcohol concentration 80 plus) and operation while impaired (alcohol and drugs).
None of the allegations have been tested in court.
The accused had their driver's licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicle impounded for seven days.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court April 3.
