Bradford man facing slew of charges after two separate incidents

Police say the 36-year-old man was charged in a domestic incident at which time police realized it was the same person who had robbed a local restaurant

BRADFORD — The South Simcoe Police Service has made an arrest following a break and enter into a local business.

On Sunday, Oct. 13, 2024, South Simcoe Police were dispatched to a restaurant in the area of Melbourne Drive and Holland Street West in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury following a break and enter that had occurred.

A short time later, while investigating a separate domestic incident, police confirmed that the male they were dealing with was in-fact the same male from the break and enter.

As a result, a 36-year-old male from Bradford West Gwillimbury has been charged with: 

  • Break and Enter 
  • Possession of Stolen Goods Under $5,000 
  • Disguise with Intent 
  • Mischief Under $5,000 
  • Theft Under $5,000 
  • Assault 
  • Assault with a Weapon x 2 
  • Utter Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm

The male was originally released on an undertaking; however, he was re-arrested and held for a bail hearing. He was further charged with two counts of failure to comply with an undertaking.
