A Loretto man is facing charges following a theft Thursday from an Alliston business.
At 5 p.m., police were called to the business at 30 King St. S., where a man had been seen stealing beer and taking off toward Dollarama, Nottawasaga OPP said in a news release.
Officers located the man, who had six 473-millilitre cans of James Ready beer and a dozen 473 ml cans of Molson Canadian beer, along with what appeared to be cocaine.
Police learned the man was also wanted on an outstanding warrant.
The 34-year-old was charged with theft under $5,000 (shoplifting), possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine), and failure to comply with an undertaking. He was held for a bail hearing.
