Angus man facing 13 charges after police seize weapons, drugs

An man is facing charges after police executed a search warrant in Angus on July 3.

Nottawasaga OPP and the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad executed the warrant at a residence in the area of Brentwood Road. Police seized brass knuckles, a Taser, a machete, nunchucks, body armour, and ammunition including .12-, .20-, .308- and .30-06-gauge shotgun rounds, .40-calibre, .22-calibre and unknown long-gun ammunition.

A 32-year-old Angus man has been charged with failure to comply with a release order (seven counts), unauthorized possession of a weapon (five counts) and possession of a Schedule 1 substance (opioid). He was held for a bail hearing and was remanded into custody.
