A woman who crashed into her own home Tuesday in Alliston has been charged with impaired operation.

At 9:15 p.m., Nottawasaga OPP responded to a single-vehicle crash in the area of Swenson Street. Officers learned the driver had crashed into her residence after attempting a U-turn in her driveway, police said in a news release.

A field sobriety test was conducted, and the driver “performed poorly.”

The 54-year-old woman has been charged with operation while impaired (alcohol or drugs). She will appear in court in Bradford at a later date.
