TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH, ADJALA-TOSORONTIO & ESSA TOWNSHIPS, ON - The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating a collision involving a pick-up truck and a cyclist that occurred on Thursday, June 4, 2020, at approximately 8:30 p.m., in the area of Elizabeth Street and Simcoe Street in Angus, Essa Township.
The Nottawasaga OPP can report that the 11-year-old has been pronounced deceased as a result of his injuries.
The Nottawasaga OPP would like to extend our deepest condolences to the youth and all his family, friends, and his fellow classmates. We recognize the community as a whole may be impacted by this, and encourage anyone who may need support to reach out.
