At the beginning of last night’s BWG town council meeting, there was a special presentation made for some members of BWG town staff, recognizing them for their Certified Municipal Manager (CMM) designations.
The designations are an accreditation by the Ontario Municipal Management Institute for local government employees. It recognizes their academic and professional accomplishments and what they have achieved throughout their career.
There are four levels of recognition, evaluated with a point system. The recognition helps employees to further develop their careers and to be used as a leadership tool.
There are over 3,000 local government administrators with 30 different professions in local government, who have this designation.
Bill McKim, Executive Director of the Ontario Municipal Management Institute was on hand last night to present town staff members with their certificates of designation.
“It is my pleasure to see them formally recognized by council,” said McKim last night.
The following members were recognized and awarded with framed certificates from both Mayor Rob Keffer and McKim.
