Snow Squall Warning in effect for:
- Barrie - Collingwood - Hillsdale
- Innisfil - New Tecumseth - Angus
Lake effect snow squalls continue.
Hazards: Locally heavy snowfall with additional accumulations of 4 to 10 cm. Reduced visibility at times in heavy snow.
Timing: Continuing through this afternoon.
Discussion: Snow squalls off Georgian Bay continue this morning. These snow squalls will slowly shift eastward and weaken this afternoon. The highest snowfall amounts are expected to be near Georgian Bay.
Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.
