The third rotation of automated speed enforcement (ASE) cameras are currently being installed at four new community safety zones in BWG.
The new cameras will be active starting Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025.
The ASE pilot project, endorsed by council in 2023, consists of three rotations. Each rotation introduces four new ASE locations within community safety zones across BWG.

ASE is an automated system that uses a camera and a speed measurement device to detect and capture images of vehicles travelling more than the posted speed limit. The town has partnered with Global Traffic Group Ltd. for the duration of the pilot project, to provide technology, processing solutions, and ASE expertise to BWG.
Each rotation begins with a mandatory 90-day notification period via advanced warning signs at each respective ASE location.
Effective Feb. 27, 2025, tickets will be issued to vehicle owners caught speeding in the posted areas.
- Holland Street West at Brian Collier Way
- Langford Boulevard between Meadowhawk Trail and Blue Dasher Boulevard
- Miller Park Avenue between Milby Crescent and Boyd Lane
- Colborne Street (southbound) between Natale Court and Scanlon Avenue
Future camera locations will be communicated at a later time and will include the mandatory 90-day notification period.
