The Bradford community is cordially invited to the grand celebration of Evans deVries Higgins LLP, deserving winners of the 2024 Heritage Business Award created by Simcoe County Historical Association (SCHA).

SCHA proudly salutes Evans deVries Higgins LLP (formerly Evans and Evans) as the fifth in a series of long-term Simcoe County businesses to be recognized. The Evans law firm has been providing Bradford and the surrounding area with legal representation since 1894 and we look forward to having Bob Evans share his firm’s story of challenges and changes over that significant span of years.

It is the goal of SCHA to honour long-standing businesses operating in the County of Simcoe for their contribution to the development and well-being of the county and to inform residents and visitors to the area of the heritage of long-term businesses. Past recipients of this prestigious award include Les Bertram & Sons, Beatties Potato Farm & Distillers, Shaw’s Maple Syrup & Catering, and Sanderson Monument. Nominations for future recognition are very welcome.

A volunteer organization originating in 1891, Simcoe County Historical Association is dedicated to the preservation, appreciation, and dissemination of the history and heritage of Simcoe County, prospering  through membership and involvement across our widespread county.

The presentation takes place on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 2 to 4 p.m. at their law office on 21 Holland St. W., Bradford, with formal congratulations at 2:15 p.m. Refreshments to follow.

(Parking at back of office on John Street.)
