Church dinners are a tradition in Bradford West Gwillimbury, and across Simcoe County.
They are more than just fundraisers for the host churches; they are an opportunity to share a meal, and bring the community together.
Here are a few dinners coming up:
Ribs and Perogies. St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church, located at 56 Hearn St. in Bond Head, is hosting another of its famous Ribs and Perogies Dinners, from 5-7 p.m this Sunday, May 26. Enjoy ribs, homemade perogies, salad and dessert, only $20 for adults, $7 for children. Tickets at the door. All welcome. For more information, call 905-775-8282.
Ham Dinner. Trinity Anglican Church, located at 62 Church St. in Bradford, hosts its Ham Dinner and Silent Auction on Friday, June 7. Enjoy a dinner of ham, salads, coleslaw, rolls, coffee, tea, lemonade and dessert, only $17 for adults, $7 for children 10 years and under. Strawberry Supper. Bradford United Church holds its Strawberry Supper on Saturday, June 8. Deli meats, cold salads, rolls, coffee, tea or juice, and strawberries for dessert – perfect for a summer day. Continuous serving at the church, located at 66 Barrie St., from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets are $16 for adults, $8 for children – available at the door, or call 905-775-7268.
Strawberry Supper. St. James United Church in Stroud, Innisfil, holds a Strawberry Supper on June 19. Enjoy ham and salads, with ice and strawberries for dessert, $20 adults, $8 children under 10.
