Fall in love with some new art or fill your belly with noodles.

No matter what your goals are for the weekend, there are plenty of opportunities to keep you and your family entertained and engaged in Bradford and Innisfil this weekend.

Here’s our go-to list of events for Saturday and Sunday:

One Love Artisan Market

Join Rise Up BWG, a coalition that works to unite the town in building an anti-racist community, at the organization’s inaugural One Love market, a space featuring 16 local BIPOC artisans and vendors, who will be selling items ranging from tea to crochet. There will be performers and children's activities, too. This event runs in the Zima Room at the Bradford West Gwillimbury Public Library, 425 Holland St. W., Jan. 13 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Pasta dinner on Innisfil Pride

Enjoy free pasta, courtesy of Innisfil Pride, Jan. 13 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Grange Hall (931 Church Dr.) in Lefroy. Donations for the Troy Scott Community Fridges and Innisfil Food Bank will be collected, as will winter items such as hats, gloves, scarves and coats for the Women and Children's Shelter of Barrie. For more information on the organization, visit innisfilpride.ca or email [email protected].

Help plan upcoming history programming

Members of the BWG Local History Association will get together for an afternoon of reflection on their accomplishments of the past year, and plan an exciting lineup of programs and activities for 2024. Everyone is welcome to attend this meeting. The event runs Jan. 13, from 2 to 4 p.m., in the Bradford library’s Green Room. Get further details by calling David di Giovanni at 905-775-3328.

Public skating hits the ice Bradford

The BWG Leisure Centre (471 West Park Ave.) will host all-ages public skating on Jan. 13 and 14. Everyone who participates in this leisure program should consider wearing a helmet and gloves while on the ice. Children nine years old or younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, while food, drinks, skating aids, sticks, pucks, balls, sleds, chairs and strollers are not permitted. The Saturday session starts at 2:15 p.m.; Sunday skating begins at 12:15 p.m. More information can be found at calendar.townofbwg.com.
