The Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) has decided to close all schools and learning centres next week due to the "evolving labour situation" in the province.
The Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board has not yet announced its plans for next week.
"As we go into the weekend, we want our families to know that we are closely monitoring the evolving labour situation in the province involving the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) and the Ontario Public Services Employees Union (OPSEU)," notes a release from the public school board post on its social media channels this afternoon.
