Bradford West Gwillimbury Santa Claus Parade lights up the night

This year’s parade featured 53 floats, showcasing the creativity and spirit of local businesses, service groups, clubs and entertainers

Thousands of excited spectators lined the streets of Bradford on Saturday night for the much-anticipated annual Santa Claus Parade. This holiday tradition brought the community together, with families and children braving the chilly evening to enjoy the festive celebration.

This year’s parade featured 53 floats, showcasing the creativity and spirit of local businesses, service groups, clubs and entertainers. Participants danced, sang, and waved, bringing holiday joy to the crowd. As they made their way along the parade route, they handed out candy and collected letters to Santa from eager children.

The highlight of the night was, of course, the appearance of Santa Claus himself. The “big guy in red” dazzled everyone as he rode on his sleigh, set against a spectacular starlit backdrop. Cheers erupted from the crowd as Santa made his way through, spreading cheer and excitement.

The Bradford West Gwillimbury parade remains one of the town’s popular holiday traditions, attracting thousands of visitors each year. The event began at Bradford High School and travelled along Holland Street before concluding at the Bradford & District Memorial Community Centre. Under a clear night sky, the parade was a perfect way to kick off the holiday season and bring the community together in celebration.
