The Bradford Board of Trade announced its Open for Business golf tournament has been rescheduled to Aug. 1.

The golf must go on.

In an email to participants and sponsors, the Bradford Board of Trade announced its Open for Business golf tournament has been rescheduled to Aug. 1. The event, initially planned for July 11, was postponed earlier this week due to the heavy rainfall associated with the remnants of Hurricane Beryl.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused by cancelling our original golf tournament date,” the board of trade stated in the email that was sent out Thursday afternoon.

The event will still be held at Harbour View Golf and Country Club in Innisfil; all foursomes and other details will remain the same, too, the board of trade says.

“Registration and sponsorship will remain open,” the email states. “If you already registered and did not provide the emails of your foursome group please inform them of the new date. We welcome more golfers and Sponsors.”

As well, the board of trade is looking for raffle-prize donations.

The tournament is a shotgun start, held under scramble format. And the event will include a putting contest, networking breakfast and barbecue lunch.

Donations for the Bradford Community Fridge will be collected.

“This initiative was made possible by Gwillimdale Farms, in partnership with The Helping Hand Food Bank, and with support from the BWG Public Library and the Town of BWG,” the email states.
