AHMADIYYA MUSLIM WOMEN'S ASSOCIATION

In a continued effort to give back to our community and maintain the natural beauty of our surroundings, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Women’s Association (AMWA) in Bradford has committed to keeping the roadways clean. Through this initiative, AMWA has adopted 5th Sideroad/County Road 53, aiming to make a tangible difference by conducting biannual clean-ups on these roads.
This commitment was put into action on Nov. 7, when AMWA volunteers gathered for the second scheduled cleanup of the year on 5th Sideroad/County Road 53. The first cleanup of the year took place on May 29, kicking off an ongoing project to keep these roads litter-free and visually appealing.
The event began at 10 a.m., with a team of eleven dedicated volunteers from AMWA ready to tackle both sides of the road. By 1 p.m., the volunteers had completed their mission, leaving the road noticeably cleaner and setting an inspiring example of community service.
As part of the clean-up, the team collected litter and gathered it into bags, which were then left by the roadside for the municipality to pick up.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Women’s Association is proud to contribute to Bradford’s well-being and environment. This project exemplifies AMWA’s commitment to giving back to the community, promoting a cleaner, greener Bradford for all. We hope that our efforts encourage others to join in and support a cleaner, healthier, and more connected community.
With each clean-up, AMWA members continue to strengthen their ties to the community, fostering a sense of shared responsibility for the spaces we all cherish. As we look forward to future clean-ups, we are grateful for the opportunity to contribute in a meaningful way, and we hope to inspire others to take part in preserving Bradford’s natural beauty.
