'That special place you enjoy needs regular customers, or a month from now it will be gone'

BradfordToday received the following letter from Steven Kaszab regarding supporting local restaurants:

A month to go folks. Christmas is upon us. Holidays have always brightened up my life, mostly because it involves the enjoyment of eating at home, but also with my friends at the pub or many local restaurants in my neighbourhood.

My family and I have been carefully exploring our neighbourhood bistros, cafes and foodie establishments with glee.

It can be done safely with enjoyment and seasonal wonder to behold. Bradford has a few Caribbean restaurants, along with a large number of Mexican-Latino establishments all with a unique atmosphere to partake in.

Whatever cuisine turns your crank, explore the variety offered to us all. Eat in, take out, all is good. That special place you enjoy needs regular customers, or a month from now it will be gone, financially drained by the pandemic and our lack of interest.

Lemar's Pizza, Big Moma's Soul Food, Hay Caramba, Golden taste of Asia, Bangkok Saigon Noodles, La Mexicana Restaurant, along with the ever present Big Texas BBQ have been my favourites over the last two years of this pandemic.

Hell if I'll let this virus rob us of these establishments, key stones in my culinary local travels.
