BradfordToday welcomes letters to the editor at [email protected] or via the website. Please include your full name, daytime phone number and address (for verification of authorship, not publication). We received the following from an Ottawa resident on their experience in Bradford during the recent Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at convention.

Dear editor and the entire Bradford community,

I am from Ottawa and earlier this month, my family and I had the opportunity — nay blessing — to visit Bradford to attend the annual convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at.

This was the first time the Jalsa Salana was held at such a scale in your community.

From the police directing traffic, to city officials, to neighbours, and to the local businesses — everyone was so friendly and welcoming. You made our event memorable and truly historic.

Our faith, Islam, teaches us that a person cannot be grateful to God, unless they are thankful to people. And your community, is truly deserving of a lot of gratitude.

Thank you and I hope to visit again.
