One new case of COVID-19 reported in Bradford

Bradford's sixth case of COVID-19 is a woman in her 50s who is self isolating at home

Another Bradford woman in her 50s has tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit's updated list for March 27. 

Transmission for the case is being attributed to community transmission. She is at home self-isolating. 

This brings the total count of COVID-19 cases in Bradford to six. 

Below is the list of cases to date in BWG:

  • Reported on March 15 -  a woman in her 50s, acquired through travel (Ecuador) - currently self-isolating at home
  • Reported March 20 - a man in his 20s - acquired through close contact with the woman who travelled to Ecuador - currently self-isolating at home
  • Reported March 21 - a woman in her 30s - acquired through community transmission - currently hospitalized at Southlake Regional Health Centre
  • Reported March 25 - a woman in her 50s - acquired through community transmission - currently hospitalized at Southlake Regional Health Centre
  • Reported March 25 - a man in his 40s - acquired through close contact with his wife (Bradford's third positive case) - currently self-isolating at home
  • Reported March 27 - a woman in her 50s - acquired through community transmission - currently self-isolating at home

So far there are 33 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Simcoe-Muskoka region, three of which have information on age, municipality, source and status pending.  A full list can be found on the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit website here
