Take a deep breathe in. Take a deep breathe out. Ahhh. Feel the calm take over your body.
In our overscheduled busy lives, some people are exploring the world of yoga as a form of exercise to keep calm and achieve a more balanced lifestyle.
Cassie Landolfi is the owner of A Healthy Solution For You, a health and wellness clinic in downtown Bradford West Gwillimbury who recently added a yoga studio to her clinic, called Pose Yoga 4 U.
“I’ve been a participant of yoga for 20 years and I just finally thought, ‘Why not add it on to my business?’” she said. “Everything I do is a natural health embodiment so this just tops it off.”
The studio is located inside her clinic on the upper Level of 29 Holland St. W. (rear entrance).
Landolfi offers small, intimate and personalized yoga workouts with a focus on deep stretching and the connecting of mind, body and spirit.
Whether you are a first timer or an experienced yogi, Pose Yoga 4 U aims to have something for everyone.
Participants can choose from multiple types of classes including a mixed flow, a twist and detox, or restorative yoga. There is even an early morning Roll Out of Bed and Go class that starts at 6:45 a.m.
“Rejuvenate! Get up and get the juices flowing, get your workout done early so you have the rest of the day to play,” Landolfi said, referring to the morning class.
Yoga has been a great way for Landolfi to compliment her clients’ natural journeys to wellbeing. She encourages natural and drug-free ways of healing and nurturing the body.
“It really helps them to think about self-discipline so they cannot always be giving, they can also receive some good health benefits,” she said.
Landolfi has been operating her business for four years, and two years in downtown Bradford.
“I love being in the downtown. I think there is everything here you need,” she gushed. “You want to get your hair done, you want a facial, you want a massage, you want out work out, you want to eat… There’s something for everybody.”
She said she enjoys working alongside other local businesses in town and often does collaborations and events with other business owners, such as live blood-cell events at Nancy’s Nifty Nook, the natural health food store in town, where she gives people a deeper look into their state of health by doing a blood analysis.
To help promote her new yoga business, she has partnered with Welcome Wagon, a community initiative that provides newcomers to town with information about events and businesses in the area, as well as exclusive deals and coupons for local services.
Landolfi said anyone who signs up with Welcome Wagon in Bradford will receive two free class passes at Pose Yoga 4 U.
“I do hope to collaborate with other fitness centres in town to offer some different types of yoga workshops,” she said.
