Did you know that BWG has Warming Centres available for anyone needing to get out of the cold? Residents can access warming centres at the following locations:
Daytime Warming Centres
BWG Public Library and Cultural Centre at 425 Holland Street West
Monday to Friday: 9:30 am – 8:00 pm
Saturday: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Sunday: 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
BWG Leisure Centre at 471 West Park Avenue
Monday to Thursday: 6:00 am – 10:00 pm
Friday: 6:00 am – 8:00 pm
Saturday to Sunday: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
Overnight Warming Centre
WOW Living at 177 Church Street:
Monday to Friday 9:00 pm - 9:00 am when the temperature is -10 or feels like -15
This week the overnight warming centre at WOW Living will be open until Saturday, February 22. The centre can host a maximum of 10 people at a time, and visitors can enter through the back doors off of David Street.
