The Transportation Master Plan (TMP) is an element of the Town’s planning and guides BWG’s transportation investments and activities. We are developing the plan using a framework that incorporates the Town’s vision, feedback from the community and analysis of the challenges and opportunities in BWG.

A TMP looks to the future of our community in terms of population, business growth, residential development, commuter needs and other land-use plans to determine what the transportation needs of our community will be, and how that can be integrated with our existing transportation network. Using environmental assessment planning, it lays out a guide for sustainable, efficient and safe movement of goods and people within and around BWG.

The TMP will be completed in accordance with the Master Plan process identified by the Municipal Engineers Association, adhering to the requirements of Phases 1 and 2 of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment.

How can you get involved?

As the study progresses, the Town will engage with residents, stakeholders and businesses to shape the overall master plan and contribute towards the recommendations.

The Town will host Public Information Centers for anyone who wishes to participate. You go to our website and register your email address to receive project updates, or just check periodically to see updates on the progress of the TMP. If you are unable to attend our meetings, they will be recorded and made publically available, along with all presentation materials.
