Even when the building is closed, the BWG Library is open to serve you. Our electronic resources ensure that you have access to resources at all hours every day of the week. All you need is a library card to be able to borrow books, audiobooks, search databases or take courses.
If you do not already have a library card, you can apply for a temporary card on our website and then visit us later with identification to make your card permanent. With a temporary card you will have immediate access to our on-line resources so that you can always get the books and information you need.
Check out our website for information on how to download the Libby App to access ebooks and e-audiobooks. You can download an app from Pressreader and browse magazines and newspapers in dozens of languages from around the world. Kanopy also has an app that will allow you to stream movies and documentaries. There are also apps for other resources including Mango Languages, LinkedIn Learning, and Creative Bug that can help you learn a new languages and master new skills.
You can find all in the information you need with Encyclopedia Britannica, National Geographic or one of our many subject specific databases on business, gardening or health in addition to resources on auto repair, driving tests and Canadian citizenship. If you want to learn more about your community, our website also houses the BWG Digital Archives with access to historical essays, artifacts and photos from Bradford West Gwillimbury.
There are also links for children and teens – Tumblebooks, LOTE (Languages Other Than English) on-line and National Geographic Kids provide hours of educational and fun while Brainfuse provides access to live tutoring.
