Fast track your career in Aquatics while you earn a High School credit!
This is a hybrid Healthy Active Living Education course that includes in pool and in class  instruction at the BWG Leisure Centre. It also includes an online component where students receive online course instruction, communicate with their teacher and work on course assignments.

                                                
Dates: Monday-Friday, July 4-28
Time: 8:30-2:30pm

Fee: $500.00

 

Prerequisites:

  • Minimum age of 15 years
  • A strong swimmer - swim 400m (16 laps) continuously
  • The desire to help others and teach Lifesaving skills
  • This program is available to all Ontario Secondary School students


You’ll earn:

  • One high school credit - grade 11 - open PAQ30
  • Bronze Medallion
  • Emergency First Aid
  • Bronze Cross
  • Standard First Aid
  • National Lifeguard Preparation
  • Swim & Lifesaving Instructor


NOTE: This program is available to all Ontario Secondary School students and is offered in partnership with the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board. Credits are valid with all school boards whether you are with the Catholic, public or private high school system. Optional Volunteer opportunities will be available through out the program that can be used towards Community Involvement hours.
