The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is once again bringing Santa to you!

On November 20 and 21 in Bradford and November 27 in Bond Head, we invite you to “Spot Santa" as he travels across BWG to bring holiday spirit to all. Santa and his mini-float will slowly tour the streets of BWG, while BWG Fire and South Simcoe Police accompany him using their lights and sirens to notify you that Santa is close!

Times and maps of the routes will be shared closer to the event on www.townofbwg.com/Santa

We, like many of you, are disappointed that we are unable to host a traditional parade this year; however, throughout our parade-planning period, we have been bound by the Province’s Stage 3 restrictions, which had no allowance for open-spaced events such as parades. While the government has eased restrictions in the past few days, their decision came too late for the Town to put together a traditional Santa Claus parade. Every year, planning and executing the parade takes months of coordination and organizing, including the months that parade participants put into planning and building their floats. Unfortunately, it is not feasible to plan a parade of this magnitude last minute.

Running events during COVID has been a constant challenge, and many municipalities have simply cancelled all in-person events during this period. The Town of BWG has tried to be creative in putting together events that offer residents the best experiences possible while being safe and adhering to the current restrictions, and we are grateful to all of the residents to have supported us and enjoyed the activities over the past year and a half.

We hope everyone enjoys Santa’s visit, and we are looking forward to planning an incredible parade for you in 2022!
