Celebrate New Year’s Eve with your family and friends at the BWG Leisure Centre with the 9th annual Family First Night on Friday, December 31, 2021 from 5:30-9:00pm.
Family First Night takes place this year in a smaller and modified fashion, with preventative measures in place to ensure compliance with provincial COVID-19 restrictions and public safety measures.
Indoor activities will be available from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. including leisure skating, busker shows in the gymnasium and take-home crafts. Outdoor activities will take place from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. in Sunshine Square and include fire and busker shows. The evening will close with a mini fireworks show at 9:00 p.m.
Masks are required indoors except when actively engaged in skating. Masks are recommended while outdoors and any time that physical distancing cannot be maintained. As the BWG Leisure Centre is subject to provincial guidelines for indoor recreation facilities, proof of vaccination is required to participate in the indoor components of the event. Event participants 12 years of age and older will need to show proof of vaccination along with applicable ID upon entry to the BWG Leisure Centre. Please visit www.bwgleisurecentre.ca/vaccine for further details. Proof of vaccination is NOT required for the outdoor components of the event. We ask that if you or anyone in your family are feeling unwell, please refrain from attending. All event attendees will be required to complete a COVID screening upon arrival.
This event is open to both residents and visitors and all activities are free of charge. Non-perishable food items will be collected for the Bradford Helping Hand Food Bank.
This event is made possible with the generous support of sponsorships from Sabari Orthodontics
