The Department of Community Services, Aquatics Division is seeking energetic, highly motivated and organized individuals to join their Aquatics Team for the Summer session. All qualified applicants are invited to attend!
Wet Screening:
Date: Tuesday, May 9, 2023
Time: 4:30pm - 6:30pm
Location: BWG Leisure Centre, 471 West Park Avenue, Bradford, ON
What to Bring:
- Bathing suit, towel, whistle, goggles, water bottle
- Completed Application Form – go to: www.townofbwg.com/Careers to obtain the application form
- Resume, cover letter and copies of required certifications
- Upon successful completion of the Wet Screening, applicants will be invited to attend an interview.
Qualifications:
To be eligible to participate you must be at least 16 years old, possess your Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification and have (or be in the process of completing) the following qualifications:
Instructor:
- Lifesaving Swim instructor
- Lifesaving Society Lifesaving Instructor
- Lifesaving Society Emergency First Aid Instructor
Lifeguard:
- Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard
To be eligible to participate you must be at least 15 years old, possess your Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification and have (or be in the process of completing) the following qualifications:
Assistant Instructor/Aquatic Attendant:
- Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor
- Lifesaving Society Bronze Cross (or higher)
Candidates must meet the minimum age requirements to apply to these positions and hold current certifications or show proof that they will have completed these certifications prior to the start of the Summer Session on Monday, July 3, 2023. Candidates must be able to promote a culture of inclusiveness and work with a diverse population of employees, participants, agencies and the public. All applicants will be required to complete a Vulnerable Sector Screening/Police Information Check upon hire.
The hourly rate for the Instructor is $19.60; Lifeguard is $16.71 and Assistant Instructor and Aquatic Attendant is $15.97.
