Notice of Public Meeting for a Proposed Zoning By-law Amendment and a Draft Plan of Subdivision
Pursuant to Sections 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury will be holding a public meeting on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 7:00 pm in the Zima Room of the BWG Library & Cultural Centre, 425 Holland Street West, Bradford to consider a proposed amendment to Zoning By-law 2010-050, as amended, and a proposed Draft Plan of Subdivision.
The Council meeting will also be streamed live on the Town’s YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/c/TownofBradfordWestGwillimbury. Please note that there may be more than one public meeting and that the matter will be dealt with in the order that it appears on the agenda.

The purpose and effect of the proposed amendment is to rezone the subject property from the "Future Development (FD)" Zone to the "Residential Two Exception Holding (R2-2*XX(H1))" Zone. The proposed Zoning By-law Amendment would permit the development of a total of 46residential units in six (6) three (3) storey back-to-back townhouse buildings. The proposed site specific performance standard would reduce the minimum lot area of interior townhouse units from 170 square metres (1,829.9 ft2) to 150 square metres (1,614.6 ft2) per dwelling unit.
The proposed Draft Plan of Subdivision would create five (5) blocks from the site, one for the existing residential heritage building, another for the Common Elements for a future condominium, and the remainder for the location of residential condominium buildings. Vehicular access for the development is proposed to be from Line 8, Roughley Street, and Prince Drive. A total of twenty-six (26) visitor parking spaces would be located throughout the site at grade along the private roads and in a central parking area. The purpose of the meeting is to inform the public of the nature of the proposal, invite public input, and answer questions regarding the application.
Any person may attend the public meeting to make a submission in support of or in opposition to the proposed Amendment. If you wish to be notified of Council’s decision regarding the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment, you must submit a written request to Ray Kelso at the address shown in the paragraph above.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at the Public Meeting or make written submissions to the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury before the proposed Zoning By-law amendment is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Council of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal and the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
