Notice of Complete Applications and Public Meeting on Proposed Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendments

Take notice that the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury has received the following complete applications to amend the Municipality's Official Plan and Zoning By-law 2010-050:

AND TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury will be holding a public meeting on Tuesday, February 25th, 2025 at 7:00 pm to consider the proposed amendments. The Council meeting will be held in the Zima Room of the BWG Library & Cultural Centre located at 425 Holland Street West, Bradford, and streamed live on the Town’s YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/c/TownofBradfordWestGwillimbury. (Please note that there may be more than one public meeting and that the matter will be dealt with in the order that it appears on the agenda.)

The purpose and effect of the proposed Official Plan Amendment is to re-designate the subject lands from “Agricultural” to “Agricultural - Special Policy Area". The proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to re-zone the northern portion of the subject lands currently zoned as “Agricultural (A)” to the “Institutional (I)” zone in order to facilitate the development of a two (2) storey structure containing a place of worship with an approximate gross floor area of 929 square metres along with a total of 93 surface level vehicular parking spaces.

The purpose of the meeting is to inform the public of the nature of the proposal, invite public input, and answer questions regarding the application.

Any person may attend the public meeting to make a submission in support of or in opposition to the proposed Amendments. Please see the “Protocol for Electronic Participation in Meetings of Council” for participation in the Public Meeting if you wish to make an oral submission. The Protocol is set out at Agendas Minutes and Schedules - Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury.

Written submissions regarding the proposal can be made to contacting Mana Masoudi, Planner, Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury Office of Community Planning, 305 Barrie Street, Unit 2, P.O. If you are unable to make written submissions and therefore wish to make an oral statement during the meeting please email [email protected] prior to noon on February 25th, 2025 to register.

You will be provided further instructions on how you will connect during the meeting. All oral statements will be recorded as part of the electronic meeting and will be posted for public viewing on www.youtube.com/c/TownofBradfordWestGwillimbury.

If you wish to be notified of Council’s decision regarding the proposed Amendments, you must submit a written request to Town Staff at the address shown in the paragraph above.

If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Council of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury before the proposed Official Plan Amendment is adopted and the proposed zoning by-law amendment is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury before the proposed Official Plan Amendment is adopted or the proposed Zoning By-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
