In partnership with the Bradford Board of Trade (BBT), the Town of BWG is thrilled to launch its 2024 "Light Up BWG" contest – an outdoor holiday decorating competition open to all BWG residents and businesses.
Starting December 1, residents and business owners are invited to transform their homes and storefronts into dazzling displays of lights, ornaments, and seasonal decorations.
Register your home or business for the Light Up BWG contest from December 1-13 using our online form. The community can vote for their favourite storefront display between December 14 and 17. On the evening of Wednesday, December 18, BWG Council members and the Youth Council Advisory Committee (YCAC) will make their way to each of the participating locations and judge the entries based on creativity, uniqueness, and overall impact!

Residents and businesses can register to participate at www.townofbwg.com/lightupbwg, starting at 9:00 am on December 1 to 11:59 pm on December 13.
Prizes will be awarded for:
Business Category
- Community Award: Community members can vote for their favourite storefront display online between December 14 to 11:59 pm on December 17.
The winner of the Community Award will receive a free one-year membership with the Bradford Board of Trade.
- Council’s Choice: Council and members of the YCAC will tour the participating locations on the evening of December 18 and judge the entries based on creativity, uniqueness, and overall impact.
Residential Category
- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Winners (judged by members of Council and the Youth Council Advisory Committee,
Winners will be announced on Friday, December 20.
