Shoplifter who had keys to stolen vehicle arrested in Alliston: OPP

Officers nabbed the accused leaving the store with stolen merchandise, aforementioned keys

ALLISTON - The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged an individual after a report of a shop lift at a local grocery store.

On Nov. 11, 2024 at approximately 6:41 p.m., police responded to a report of a shoplifter at a local Alliston grocery store.

Officers located the individual exiting with the stolen property from the store, along with keys to a stolen vehicle in the parking lot. The accused was then arrested.

As a result, 22-year-old of Waterloo, has been charged with:

  • Theft Under $5,000 - shoplifting
  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000
