Innisfil man charged after two-vehicle crash in Bradford

'Both vehicles sustained moderate to severe damage resulting from the collision,' South Simcoe police spokesperson says

A two-vehicle collision in the northwest part of Bradford West Gwillimbury sent both drivers to hospital Wednesday morning.

Emergency crews were dispatched to a collision at the County Road 27 and Line 9 intersection in Bradford Nov. 13 at about 9:10 a.m. It involved two vehicles — a blue SUV, and a commercial van that had struck and broken a light post.

“Officers attended the scene along with ambulance and fire,” South Simcoe police spokesperson Samah Othman said. “Both vehicles sustained moderate to severe damage resulting from the collision. The drivers of both vehicles reported having no life-threatening injuries, however both were transported to the hospital for precautionary measures.”

At the scene, a witnesses told BradfordToday the SUV was travelling south when it was struck by the westbound van. 

The van driver, a 27-year-old Innisfil man, has been charged with fail to yield to traffic on a through highway. He will have a future court date, Othman said.
