A driver with a G2-level licence is facing a stunt-driving charge following what police describe as a "dangerous" incident in New Tecumseth on Boxing Day.
Nottawasaga OPP say the driver was caught travelling 107 km/h in a posted 60 zone on Industrial Parkway Dec. 26.
“Speed limits are in place to protect everyone on the road,” the OPP said in a Dec. 30 social-media post. “Drive responsibly — (it’s) not worth the risk.”
Consequences include a 30-day licence suspension and a 14-day vehicle impoundment. The driver could also face a potential fine of up to $10,000, police say.
