South Simcoe police need help finding two suspects who allegedly fled a local hardware store with a cart full of tool kits in early January.
The incident apparently occurred at the Home Depot in Bradford on Jan. 3 at about 7:30 p.m. That's when the suspects entered the store and filled the cart with tool kits. They left the building with the stolen merchandise as a black Honda Civic waited nearby. The vehicle was reported stolen and linked to 17 other thefts by Toronto, York Regional and Barrie police, and the OPP, South Simcoe police say.
South Simcoe officers obtained video footage from the retailer and are seeking information from the public to help identify the suspects.
No pictures of the vehicle were obtained.
The first suspect is described as having medium skin tone, a medium build, short brown hair, and a full beard. He was wearing blue jeans, a light brown work coat, a dark shirt, a blue-and-white ball cap with blue lettering on the front, and white running shoes.
The second suspect has medium skin tone and a medium build. They wore blue jeans, a black jacket, a blue hoodie, a black ball cap, and black shoes.
