Jane was called home to be with her Eternal Lord on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. Jane Brouwer (nee De Jong) of Barrie and formerly of the Holland Marsh, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie. Beloved wife of Andrew Brouwer. Loving mother of Gary (Corrine) Brouwer, Caroline (Ed) Dyk, Winnefred (Bernie) Wiebenga and Ken (Sherri) Brouwer. Proud grandma of Tara (T.J), Jeff (Kristyn), Tim; Caitlin, Travis (Katie), Justine; Alex (Mandy), Matthew (Emily), Sara (Cameron); and Finn. She will also be lovingly remembered by her 13 great grandchildren. Dear sister of late Sid (Ann), Andy (Martha), Bill (Linda), Susan (Marten) Verburg, late Gilbert (late Marga) and Effie (late George) Davison. Jane will also be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Barrie First Christian Reformed Church, 33 Shirley Ave, Barrie on Monday, February 10, 2025 from 6-8 p.m. The memorial service will be held at the Church on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. In Jane's memory, donations may be made to World Renew.
