A celebration of community hockey returns to Bradford West Gwillimbury on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025.
The 16th annual Hockey Day in BWG will take place in Bond Head at Bud Brown Park from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The BWG Minor Hockey Association’s U7 teams will compete against each other in a day of outdoor on-ice fun, and all participants will receive a medal.

Hockey Day in Canada was born in Toronto in 2000 and is hosted in a different Canadian town each year. The Town of BWG launched the local event in 2009 to celebrate the beloved winter sport and bring the game back to basics with a fun, friendly tournament.
