Weather advisory continued for:

  •    Orillia - Lagoon City - Washago
  •    Barrie - Collingwood - Hillsdale
  •    Owen Sound - Blue Mountains - Northern Grey County
  •    Innisfil - New Tecumseth - Angus

Current details:
Winter weather travel advisory in effect.

Lake effect snow expected early this morning.

Hazards:
Locally heavy snowfall with accumulations near 5 cm.
Poor visibility at times in heavy snow.

Timing:
Early this morning.

Discussion:
Lake effect snow will affect the area in the wake of a strong cold front. Visibility will be reduced at times in bursts of heavy snow.

Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather.

Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
