New season of Bradford Farmers’ Market begins

In the parking lot beside the BWG Public Library and Cultural Centre, 425 Holland St. W.

Treasure Sale

Treasures donated by the community can be yours for a donation to the church and its community projects.

Innisfil Garden Club annual Tailgate Sale, BBQ, Bake and Plant Sale

8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Beeton Honey and Garden Festival

Main Street in Beeton hosts a street festival, with more than 190 vendors – including beekeepers and honey sales, live entertainment, a book sale, a free Family Fun Zone, and a Classic Car Show. The Beeton Firefighters Association hosts a pancake breakfast in the parking lot of the Muddy Water tavern, starting at 8 a.m.

Friends of the Library book sale

Saturday: 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Sunday: 1-3:30 p.m.

Dedication of Ron Simpson Park

10:30 a.m.

Ron Simpson Park (formerly Dreamfields Park), 251 Crossland Blvd., BWG

Mayor Rob Keffer and members of council will be joined by members of the Simpson family for this special event honouring the late BWG politician who was instrumental in guiding the design and construction of the local police station, library and leisure centre.

Simpson was first elected to the Township of West Gwillimbury council in 1986, and he was on the inaugural amalgamated council of Bradford West Gwillimbury in 1991. With the exception of one term, he served on council until 2014, the year he died.

Air cadet parade

Parade for Bradford Legion Air Cadet Squadron and launch of the new Orville Hand No. 37 Squadron. Will include a pipe band, speeches, parade and drill, and a reception afterward.
