Vendors from near and far come out to The Local Market in Bradford (27 photos)

The Local Market was back for its first event of the year Sunday morning at the Portuguese Cultural Centre

It was the first event of the year for The Local Market, organized by Inesia Mendonca and Shirley Malo.

The Local Market has been around for just over two years, and each event is carefully curated to create a perfectly pleasant shopping experience for the people of Bradford.

This weekend's market had a Valetine's Day theme to it, with pink, white and red decor placed throughout the Portuguese Cultural Centre, a Queen of Hearts mascot, a play zone for kids, a coffee and snack bar, as well as photo shoots against a red and white balloon backdrop from Bradford's DY Photography.

There were a variety of vendors and artisans set up throughout the space, with sweet and unique gift ideas for Valetine's Day, such as lollipops, men's boxers with cheeky saying on them and boxed roses.

While there were plenty of local vendors, there were also a handful of small businessses from surrounding areas like Caledon and Vaughan, who brought their unique goods to the people of Bradford.

The next event takes place on Sunday March 29 at the Portuguese Cultural Centre.
