Various Go Fund Me pages set up for displaced residents of Bradford fire

Multiple Go Fund Me pages have already been created to help those affected by the Bradford apartment fire

Fire at 114 Holland Street West

After the devastating apartment fire at 114 Holland St. West in Bradford Monday afternoon, the community has come together to rally for the displaced residents, with food, shelter and support resources. 

There have also been a number of Go Fund Me Pages set up for some of the families who lived in the complex and have lost all their belongings. 

Jaylin Cuco who works at Bradford Wellness Centre was one of the residents of the complex. She lived there with her brother Daniel, 19, sister Serena, 11, and their father Tony. 

All of the family is safe but has lost all their possessions. 

The Bradford Wellness Centre has started a Go Fund Me page, asking for monetary donations to help the family. They are also accepting gift cards, donations of new and gently used clothing, household items, toiletries and for the family, being collected at Bradford Wellness Centre at 140 Holland St. West. 

Another Go Fund Me page for the Cuco family has been set up by Alicia Swan. 

Justin McDonald of Deer Lake, NL, has made a Go Fund Me page for his sister Nicole who lived in the building.  He said barely escaped yesterday's blaze. 

"I'm doing this to help her and her four kids get back on their feet as she has lost everything," he wrote. 

Chelsea Kincaide of Bradford has started a Go Fund Me page for apartment residents Jim and Pam who are in need of furniture, clothes and food.

Nicole Deering of Bradford has started a Go Fund Me Page for apartment residents Alicia, her husband Kyle and their two children Zach, 11, and Alivia, 2. The family is currently staying with other family members. They are currently in need of clothing, food and essentials for the children. 

Lynn Clause of Keswick has started her own Go Fund Me Page to support all the residents in the building. 

"I couldn’t imagine what it would feel like to have everything you ever owned gone in the blink of an eye!" wrote Clause.  "Doing this fundraiser and helping as much as you can would be greatly appreciated."

David McCafferty from Dumbarton, UK, has started a Go Fund Me Page for his friend Alex, who lived in the complex with his father and brother. 

"I know these are trying times with COVID-19 and all but any single tiny bit of help would be massively appreciate," he wrote. 

The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is currently working with local organizations to figure out how else the community can support those displaced by the fire. 

The town's Out of the Cold Cafe, a non-profit organization that helps the homeless and under resourced, have also started a Go Fund Me Page to assist the residents at 114 Holland St. West. here
